From science to strategy

I'm a Southern California native and lifelong West Coast loyalist. I chased the sun from San Diego up to Los Angeles, where I earned my degree at UCLA (go, Bruins!). My path there took a few turns, beginning in the health sciences and eventually landing in the liberal arts department, where my love for the humanities flourished.  Along the way, I discovered that the part of me most worth building a career around wasn't the scientist, but rather the storyteller.

After finishing my degree, I began the admirable journey towards a second degree, which involved many, many hours or contract work to begin saving for a graduate program. As I began to weigh the cost of graduate school against the pull of doing something more immediately creative, I decided to take a leap into freelance writing instead. Writing had always come naturally to me, but I'd never treated it as more than a hobby until a handful of entrepreneurs and business leaders took a chance on me early on, trusting me to help shape their brand voices from the ground up. That early trust is what turned a leap of faith into a career.

Since then, I've built a decade of experience helping brands find their voice and turn it into growth. I specialize in brand development and content marketing, working across both DTC and B2B spaces to build strategies that don't just sound good, but actually perform. My foundation is copywriting, but over the years I've expanded into email marketing, social media strategy, and SEO, because building a brand today means fluency across every channel your customer touches.

I bring a data-driven mindset to that creative work, a habit built from my early research background,  using analytics to inform decisions, refine messaging, and prove that great content is both memorable, and measurable.
